We’re over the hump people because July is the seventh month and we’re ready for some summer reads for adults. These books will transport you to the beach without having to deal with the sand. If you are looking for clever, fast pace and a good escape I have some fantasy that will have you turning the pages. Get ready!

There is no female detective we love more than Dame Agatha Mary Clarissa Christie (1890-1976) known for her 66 detective novels and 14 short stories. Today women go beyond her Miss Marple and delve into stories, rituals, secrets and suspense thrillers. These powerful female authors I’m writing about now are master storytellers you’ll love.

When the pandemic hit us hard last March there was a problem of wide-spread supply shortages and panic buying. People were running to stores for whatever they needed — like food, clothes, cleaning supplies and, yes, toilet paper. We were all caught off guard one way or another. Movie theaters have been hit hard by the pandemic as consumer demands have diminished and studios have limited the release of films. It’s unclear how many consumers will go back to the movie theaters after the pandemic is under control. Hollywood has also moved quickly for movie content directly to streaming services.
