CENTERVILLE — Wild weather Friday evening kept pushing the kickoff back of the annual Miami Valley Football Coaches Association North vs. South All-Star game.
TROTWOOD — Centerville jumped out to an 8-0 lead and led 25-12 by the end of the first quarter and 48-24 at halftime as the Elks went on to post a 79-45 victory Tuesday over Northmont in the boys Division I sectional quarterfinal at Trotwood-Madison High School.
FAIRBORN – A dropped fly ball in the bottom of the 10th inning Friday and a missed throw to the cutoff man allowed Centerville hitter Riley Poulton to score the winning run as the Elks edged Northmont 4-3 at Wright State.

MASON — The Vandalia-Butler Swim Team kicked off the start of competitive season this past Saturday at the Mason Invitational where they competed against 21 different area schools. The boys teams placed sixth overall scoring at total of 117 points and the girls team placed 12th with 48 points.
COLUMBUS — The Division I boys basketball All-Ohio teams were announced Tuesday by a statewide media panel. The teams were selected by members of the Ohio Prep Sportswriters Association.
