CLAYTON — Northmont capitalized on all of its scoring opportunities while making some big defensive plays to score a 9-1 victory Thursday over Wayne in the Dayton 3 Division I baseball sectional tournament.
CINCINNATI — The Butler girls golf team, District qualifiers as a team for the first time in nearly a decade, traveled to Glenview Golf Course in Cincinnati on Tuesday to compete in the Southwest District tournament. Glenview, known as one of the toughest courses in the region, lived up to its reputation as the Aviators placed 12th with a 423.
BEAVERCREEK — The Butler Varsity Boys Bowling team took advantage of the bad weather over the weekend and put on a good showing at the Annual “Baker Bash” at Beaver-Vu Lanes in Beavercreek, OH.
CLAYTON — Sidney ran its record to 10-1 overall by narrowly escaping Northmont with a 72-68 victory Tuesday night.

TROY — The Wayne Warriors won the overall Greater Western Ohio Conference championship and the National Division championship on Wednesday and Friday at Troy High School. The Lady Warriors placed third in the National Division.
HUBER HEIGHTS — Wayne’s speed and athleticism were too much for Northmont to handle Saturday as the Lady Warriors scored a runaway 66-31 win.
DAYTON — Forfeits in four weight classes and placing two wrestlers in weight classes to fill a void created by one starter missing the bus Friday all proved costly as Wayne fell to the Carroll Patriots 45-30.
